 Poor Diet and Lifestyle Patterns 

According to a study by the University of Guam's College of Natural and Applied Sciences, about 60 percent of deaths on Guam are caused by preventable chronic diseases related to poor diet and lack of physical activity.  Heart  disease is one of Guam's biggest health problems. Over 41 percent of adults on Guam are a normal weight while, 36.2 percent are overweight and 21.9 percent are obese. As a community , this issue needs to be recognized and  the steps necessary need to be taken to healthier, happier Guam.
